These Terms govern your use of the Moodbase browser extension, website and related services. By installing or using Moodbase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Moodbase is

Moodbase is a browser extension that saves images into a library held in your own browser and, optionally, uses AI to describe and tag them. Saving, organising, searching, filtering and viewing are free and work with no account and no key.

2. Your library is yours

You keep all rights to the images and text in your library. We claim no license over any of it, and we hold no copy of it.

Because the library lives only in your browser, you are responsible for backing it up. Clearing your browser data, losing the machine, or removing the extension will destroy it. Export a backup from Settings and keep it somewhere safe. We cannot recover a lost library, because we never had it.

3. Saving other people's images

Moodbase is a reference tool. Saving an image does not give you rights to it. You are responsible for how you use what you collect, including respecting copyright and the terms of the sites you save from. Do not use Moodbase to collect unlawful material.

4. Credits

• One credit analyzes one image in Standard quality. High-quality analysis costs two credits. If you reanalyze an image, the cost depends on the quality you choose.
• Credits are sold in packs. Each pack is valid for one year from the date of purchase. The validity of every pack is stated on the credits page at the time you buy.
• Expiry stops new analysis only. Images already analyzed stay analyzed forever. You can hold several packs at once and choose which drains first.
• A license key may be activated on the number of installations stated for that pack. An installation is one copy of Moodbase in one browser on one computer — a second browser profile on the same machine is a second installation.
• Credits cannot be transferred between accounts or cashed out. This does not affect your right to a refund under section 5.

5. Refunds

If you’re unable to activate your license key on any installation, or have analyzed fewer than 100 images using its credit pool, let us know within 14 days of purchase and we’ll provide a full refund. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion — write to us and explain; we would rather fix the problem than keep money from an unhappy user.

6. Bringing your own API key

You may use your own key from a supported provider instead of credits. That key stays in your browser and requests go directly to the provider, so you are billed by them, not by us. We are not responsible for that provider's charges, availability, output or terms.

7. AI output

Captions, tags and other generated fields are produced by a model and will sometimes be wrong, incomplete or oddly worded. Treat them as a search aid, not as fact. You can edit or remove any generated field, and your own tags are never overwritten.

8. Availability

The extension works offline, because your library is local. The credits server, which is needed only to analyze images using Moodbase credits, may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We do not promise uninterrupted service for it. If an analysis fails, the credit is not spent.

9. Buying from this website

You can buy a license key here as well as inside the extension. A purchase made on this website sends the key to the email address you give at checkout; it does not add credits to an installation by itself, because this website has no way to know which installation is yours. Enter the key in Moodbase to use the credits.

10. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to circumvent credit accounting, resell license keys, reverse-engineer the credits server, or use Moodbase to process material that is unlawful or that you have no right to process. We may disable a license key used this way.

11. Warranty and liability

Moodbase is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data — see section 2 on backups. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here removes any right you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and material changes are noted in the changelog. Changes do not apply retroactively to credits you have already bought.
