Is Moodbase free?

Yes. Saving images, organizing your library, collections, search, filters and the viewer are free. You don't need an account or API key. AI analysis is optional: use Moodbase Credits or your own supported API key.

What does one credit buy?

One credit analyzes one image in Standard quality. High-quality analysis costs two credits. If you reanalyze an image, the cost depends on the quality you choose.

Where are my images stored?

On your device. Moodbase stores your images in your browser's local database. We don't receive or store a copy of it. If you use AI analysis, the image is sent only for that analysis request to the provider you've selected.

Where can I save images from?

You can drag images from virtually any webpage into Moodbase. Dedicated one-click adapters are available for supported sites such as X, Instagram, Pinterest and Reddit.

Can I use my own API key?

Yes. Moodbase supports Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and OpenRouter. Your key stays in your browser and requests go directly to the provider. You pay the provider directly.

What happens when credits expire?

Your existing analysis stays intact. Expiration only prevents new AI analysis. You can continue using, searching and organizing everything you've already analyzed.

Can I move my library to another computer?

Yes. Export your complete library—including images, metadata and collections—and import the backup on another device. Because your library is local, backups are important.

Which browsers are supported?

Moodbase works in Chromium-based browsers that support Chrome Web Store extensions, including Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera.
